PUCIT merit lists 2013 BSCS,IT,SE

Recently, in comments some users asked for merit list of PUCIT. So I decided to post last year’s merit of PUCIT. Usually highest merit is of BS Software Engineering (Allama Iqbal, Old Campus) and lowest being of BS Information Technology (Quaid-e-Azam, New Campus). Last year, PUCIT started programs at new campus and almost doubled the seats for its programs. So any student having merit number below 1000, has got fair chances of admission in PUCIT.

Deduction of marks for repeaters:

For each late year, 2% will be deducted from your percentage aggregate. For example if you have passed FSc in 2012 and applying in 2014 then 2% + 2% = 4% will be deducted from your aggregate. If your aggregate was 80% before then it will be counted 80 – 4 = 76% after deduction.

NOTE: These are Updated Merit positions for 2013.

BS(Computer Science): 78.33%

BS(Information Technology): 75.57%%

Afternoon Programs:

BS(Software Engineering): 77.05%

Morning Programs:

BS(Software Engineering): 79.75%

BS(Computer Science): 76.58%

BS(Information Technology): 75.00%

Afternoon Programs:

BS(Software Engineering): 76.03%

BS(Computer Science): 74.86%

BS(Information Technology): 73.68%

    • As you can see 2nd merit list of pucit, merit is lower than 74.12%, so your chances are good.

    • Apka evening mein chance hai. aur agar merit ziada km hua to new campus morning mein bhi ho skta hai.

    • Merit will be higher. so your chances are less. Also there aren’t any jobs for Petroleum engineers in Pakistan.

    • bhae agr ap chemcl engg. krna chahty hn to pu jay un ke chmcl engg. is far better than that of uet lahore aur merit be low ha your chances are good

    • UET lahore ki petroleum engg top pe hai. but even then Pakistan mein job nahi milti. Lekin middle east mein bohat ziada scope hai.

    • G next year se. is saal to ecat base pe hi honge admissions. aur abhi CM ne approve nahi kiya, lekin ho jaega.

    • Is bar merit stable rahe ga ya thora decrease hoga. kuch disciplines like CS ka increase bhi ho skta hai. agar aap mere 2013 k comments dekhen to main ne merit increase hone ki prediction ki thi. lets see what happens this year.

  22. Hello, I wanted to ask whats the main difference between New Campus and Old Campus. Which campus has more extracurricular activities? And which degree do companies prefer, CS or SE? Thank you very much!

    • New campus is newly started. Whole Old campus is dedicated to computer studies so it is better than new campus. Also there are much opportunities for extracurricular activities in old campus. SE degree is preferred because in SE there are some management subjects. with good managerial/team skills, software engineers are preferred over CS graduates.

        • normally not possible. but if they receive a lot of preference changing requests, they may allow.

    • bhai jaan uni of education ka scope pucit se thora km hai ….lakin future me job only skill ya experience py milti hai …ap jahn se mrzi kren ap ki skill achi honi chaye ……..overall it ka boht zyada hai aur future me increase b ho ga…….

  29. Sir I got 965/1050 in matric, 865/1100 in inter, and 24.5/40 in PUCIT entry test. My aggregate is 75.02(approx.) . Sir can I get admission in PUCIT in Bs(Cs) in old or new campuses in any shift? Sir please reply soon.

      mein ny b repeate kia tha just 2nd year ….
      fsc part 1st mein 466 neally 90% and overall fsc 77 % (847) thy pehly…
      now 968 en in 2014……..
      I am at pieas university now……
      Further private uni k test do achi tiari ker k like nust , giki and pieas and fast……

    • W.salam. UE ki BSIT ki degree bohat achi nahi hai (Y category ki hai. W (top),X,Y,Z(least) ). Lekin BSIT ka scope bohat acha hai.
